Have you ever observed your thoughts or feelings? Have you ever observed your internal dialogue?

Whether your answer is yes or no, it is beneficial to observe it at least from time to time. Why?

Because if you observe your self-talk you will become more aware of it and thus you can consciously influence it and improve its quality.

Why is it important to improve self-talk?

Because the way you talk to yourself influences the way you feel and the decisions that you make. The decisions influence your action, and action leads to results.

One of the best ways I have found to talk to ourself is like a best friend or a life coach would talk to us. Both of these people would usually have our best interest at heart and have a balance between being soft and hard.

This inner talk may take place as a great advice or an excellent question. You can train yourself to do the both.

Many people I have met have a habit of negative self-talk. And this puts them in trouble. In their mind, they criticize themselves or others, or ask wrong questions like "why me?" or "why this, why that?". And this does not help.

So you can develop a new habit - a habit of a positive self-talk, that will help you solve your problems effectively and achieve your goals faster.

You can give yourself a great advice in any situation or ask excellent questions that will enable you to move forward, find the best solutions and take the best action.
